Junior averaged 2.81 kills and 4.06 digs per set last week
Ray earned her sixth career selection to the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll.
RINDGE, N.H. (September 26, 2012) – Junior outside hitter Natasha Ray (Colorado Springs, Colo.) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sept. 23, as announced Tuesday by the Conference office.
In a 1-3 week for the Ravens, Ray averaged 2.81 kills per set while hitting .139. Along the way, she added 4.06 digs per set, three aces and nine blocks (0.56 per set) to average 3.38 points per set. Ray was served 91 times over the four matches and committed just two receiving errors to post a serve-receive percentage of .978.
On the season, Ray leads the team in both kills per set (2.53) and points per set (3.15). She has totaled 134 kills, 18 aces (0.34 per set), 172 digs (3.25 per set), 22 blocks (0.42 per set) and 167 points.
It is the first Weekly Honor Roll selection of the season for Ray, and the sixth of her career.
The Ravens (7-8, 1-0 Northeast-10) return to the court on Friday, Sept. 28, when they travel to Bridgeport for a non-conference contest. First Serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium in Bridgeport, Conn. Franklin Pierce next plays at home on Saturday, Oct. 6 against both Stonehill and New York Tech.
