(November 20, 2009) The 20th-ranked Franklin Pierce University womens soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision to No. 2 Saint Rose on Friday in the East Region Championship of the NCAA Division II Womens Soccer Tournament. The third-seeded Ravens concluded their season with an 18-5-1 record, while top-seeded Saint Rose improved to 23-0-0.

(October 30, 2009) Franklin Pierce University womens soccer standouts Grabriela Demoner (Vitoria, Brazil) and Rachel Smith (Chichester, N.H.) were named the Northeast-10 Womens Soccer Player of the Year and Co-Defensive Player of the Year, respectively on Friday. The announcement was made by the league as it gets set to begin the conference championship tournament on Sunday. It marks the second such awards for the respective players in their collegiate careers. Demoner was also named to the NE-10s player of the year in 2007, while Smith garnered the leagues top defensive honor last season.

Men's & Women's Soccer Teams Set to Host Northeast-10 Tournament Quarterfinals on Sunday

(October 28, 2009) The Franklin Pierce University mens and womens soccer teams will each host their respective first-round games of the 2009 Northeast-10 Tournament this Sunday at 1 and 4 p.m. at Sodexo Field on the Rindge campus. The No. 2-seed womens team will play host to Saint Anselm at 1 p.m., while the No. 3-seed mens team will take on Assumption at 4 p.m. Ticket prices for the post-season tournament are $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens, children and students of the opposing schools. Franklin Pierce students can attend the games for FREE by presenting their student ID at the gate.
