Final Entry (August 4)

After winning against Hungary, we had to face our next challenge. Surprisingly, Germany was not playing so well on this tournament and we thought we had a good chance to win. However, when the game started, I felt the strength of my rival. Scoring four goals against Serbia, Germany showed why their women's soccer is on the top of the world. Although this was our biggest defeat at the World University Games, we were honored to play against Germany. Once again, it was one of those games that brings unappreciable experience.

Our last match came so fast. It was a time to say goodbye to the 25th World University Games and we wanted to do it the best way we can. At the very end, we knew that there was nothing to lose and my team was determined to finish strong. Winning against Estonia we showed that Serbian women's soccer will have bright future.

July 10th was my last day at the University Village. After the game I was rushing back to exchange contact information and shirts with players from another countries. Again I realized how many new people I met and what the real value of this event was. I talked to so many foreign athletes and their coaches and asked for their impression. They had only good things to say not just about the University Games itself, but about my country and people. Everything was cheap for the Japanese, Africans loved our food, Swedish treasured our hospitality, Irish valued our culture, and Brazilians were trilled with our music and night life. I was so glad to hear that everyone had good time in Belgrade and that they are planning on coming to visit again.

On July 12th, the 25th World University Games were officially closed. The World was so small those two weeks and it was called Belgrade. I'm so proud.

Many thanks to all of you who followed my journey through World University Games

Looking forward to be back at Franklin Pierce,
