Lauren Stille Named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week
Bolduc lands on Weekly Honor Roll
Stille has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week.
RINDGE, N.H. (March 21, 2011) – Senior attacker Lauren Stille (North Quincy, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for the week ending on March 20, as announced Monday by the conference office. In Addition, junior goalkeeper Jill Bolduc (Atkinson, N.H.) has been named to the conference's Weekly Honor Roll.
The Ravens won both games they played last week and, along the way, Stille piled up 14 points on 11 goals and three assists. At St. Andrews on Tuesday, she scored five times and added two assists to finish with seven points. She added seven more points on Thursday at Converse when she racked up six goals, including five in the first half, and added an assist. Stille also corralled five ground balls and one ground control over the two games. She scored on each of the 11 shots she attempted last week.
On the season, Stille has started all three of Franklin Pierce's games and leads the team in both goals (14) and points (19), while being tied for the team lead in assists (5). She has attempted 16 shots, 15 of which have been on goal, picked up 10 ground balls, caused one turnover and recorded one draw control.
Bolduc played every minute of both games for the Ravens last week to earn both of the wins in front of the net. She totaled 20 saves, including 11 on Tuesday and nine on Thursday. Bolduc also corralled six ground balls over the two games.
On the season, Bolduc is the only goalkeeper to play for Franklin Pierce through its first three games. She currently owns a 3-0 record and has made 26 saves against 62 shots on goal.
The Ravens return to the field on Wednesday, March 23, when they hold their home opener in a Northeast-10 Conference contest. Game time is currently scheduled for 6 p.m. at Sodexo Field in Rindge.
