Franklin Pierce Presented With NE-10 Regular Season Championship Trophy
RINDGE, N.H. (February 21, 2009) - The Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team was presented with its 2008-09 Northeast-10 regular season championship trophy in a ceremony following today's victory over American International College in their regular season finale. NE-10 Assistant Commissioner Amy Wibel presented the trophy to captains Rachel Kimball and Jennifer and Johannah Leedham.
The regular season championship is the first for Franklin Pierce (21-5, 18-4 NE-10) since joining the Northeast-10 in 2000 and the program's first conference championship since the Ravens captured its second of two-straight New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) titles in 1998-99.
