RINDGE, N.H. (October 12,
2009) – Sophomore Dana Rowinski (Dix Hills,
N.Y.) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team
has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for
the week ending on Oct. 11, as announced Monday afternoon by the
conference office.
Rowinski opened the week with 10 kills and 11 digs to record her
first career double-double in Franklin Pierce’s 3-0 win over
Saint Anselm. In the Ravens first match on Saturday, she tallied
nine kills and a team-best 14 digs against Merrimack. Later in the
day, Rowinski recorded three kills, four digs and a pair of block
assists against C.W. Post.
On the season, Rowinski has chalked up 142 kills (2.06 per set),
which ranks second on the team, to go with 149 digs (2.16 per set),
which is third on the team. In addition, she has chipped in 15
service aces and 10 block assists over the campaign’s first
20 matches.
The Ravens (5-15, 2-5 Northeast-10) return to the court on Friday,
Oct. 16, when they remain home to host Assumption in a Northeast-10
Conference contest. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the
Fieldhouse in Rindge.


Dana Rowinski has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly
