RINDGE, N.H. (September 28,
2009) – Senior Katie Ristow (Miami,
Fla.) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team
has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for
the week ending on Sept. 27, as announced Monday afternoon by the
conference office.
Ristow averaged 3.00 kills per set and hit .215 over 121 attempts
(42 kills, 16 errors) in four matches last week to lead the Ravens
in both categories. She also added four service aces and four block
assists to tally 48 points on the week (3.43 per set). Defensively,
Ristow tallied 23 digs, good for 1.64 per set.
Ristow opened the week with a 20-kill, eight-dig, four-block assist
performance at Saint Michael’s on Tuesday, as she narrowly
missed her second double-double of the season. She hit double
digits again on Friday with 10 kills against Merrimack. On
Saturday, she tallied six kills each in matches against
Massachusetts Lowell and Dowling in Lowell, Mass. She also added 10
kills in the match against the host River Hawks.
On the season, has tallied 119 kills over 14 matches, which good
for a team-best 2.43 kills per set. Defensively, she is second on
the club with 2.22 digs per set.
The Ravens (3-11, 0-2 Northeast-10) return to the court on Tuesday,
Sept. 29, when they return home to host Southern New Hampshire in a
Northeast-10 Conference contest. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
at the Fieldhouse in Rindge.
