Caitlynn Parnell Named To Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll
Senior collected 25 kills over three matches

RINDGE, N.H. (September 21,
2009) – Senior Caitlynn Parnell (Medina,
Texas) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team
has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for
the week ending on Sept. 20, as announced Monday afternoon by the
conference office.
Parnell averaged 2.27 kills per set and hit .264 over 72 attempts
(25 kills, six errors) to go with 1.45 digs per set in three
matches as part of the Northeast-10/East Coast Conference Challenge
over the weekend. On Friday night against New York Institute of
Technology, she tallied nine kills and five digs. In
Saturday’s first match, she tallied eight kills and four digs
against Bridgeport and followed that up with an eight-kill,
seven-dig, three-block (one solo) performance in Franklin
Pierce’s win over Queens.
On the season, Parnell leads the Ravens with 2.23 kills per set and
is second on the team with a .216 hitting percentage (78 kills, 32
errors, 213 attacks). She has also posted 2.46 digs per set, 0.46
blocks per set and is chalking up 2.67 points per set for Franklin
Pierce.
The Ravens (3-7, 0-0 Northeast-10) return to the court on Tuesday,
Sept. 22, when they travel to Saint Michael’s for a
Northeast-10 Conference contest. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at
Ross Sports Center in Colchester, Vt. Franklin Pierce next plays at
home on Sept. 29 against Southern New Hampshire at 7 p.m.


Caitlynn Parnell has been named to the Nortehast-10 Conference
Weekly Honor Roll.
