RINDGE, N.H. (August 31,
2009) – Senior Katie Ristow (Miami,
Fla.) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team
has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for
the week ending on Aug. 30, as announced Monday afternoon by the
conference office.
Ristow averaged 2.62 kills per set, 3.00 digs per set and posted a
.164 attack percentage over two matches at the UMass Lowell
Invitational on Saturday. Against Gannon, she led the Ravens with
nine kills and also added seven digs and an assist. Later in the
afternoon, against host Massachusetts Lowell, she posted her first
double-double of the season (20th career) with 12 kills and 17
digs, leading Franklin Pierce in both categories. She also served
up a match-best six aces against the River Hawks.
The Ravens (0-2, 0-0 Northeast-10) return to the court on Saturday,
Sept. 5, when they travel to Assumption for a pair of
non-conference matches at the Assumption College Labor Day Mixer.
Franklin Pierce will face host Assumption at noon and Stonehill at
2 p.m. at Laska Gymnasium in Worcester, Mass.
