Lamoureux Game-Winning Single Lifts Softball to Senior Day Split With Assumption
RINDGE, N.H. (May 1, 2010) – Freshman shortstop Aimee Lamoureux (East Brookfield, Mass.) hit a game-winning single to cap a three-run bottom of the seventh on Saturday afternoon as the Franklin Pierce University softball team rallied for a 5-4 victory over Assumption in the second game of a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Franklin Pierce Softball Field. Earlier in the day, junior first baseman Amy Gordon went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run to lead Assumption to a 10-1, six-inning win in the first game.

Softball Downed at Massachusetts Lowell
LOWELL, Mass. (April 29, 2010) Seven different players drove in at least one run on Thursday afternoon as Massachusetts Lowell posted an 8-0, five-inning victory over the Franklin Pierce University softball team in Northeast-10 Conference play at River View Field. The game was a makeup game after the second game of Tuesdays doubleheader was postponed due to inclement weather.

Softball Falls Twice to Le Moyne
RINDGE, N.H. (April 28, 2010) Freshman shortstop Aimee Lamoureux (East Brookfield, Mass.) had three hits and drove in two runs on Wednesday afternoon, but the Franklin Pierce University softball team was defeated twice by Le Moyne in a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Franklin Pierce Softball Field. Le Moyne won the first game, 11-3 in five innings, and the second game, 19-4 in six innings. Both games were halted early, due to the eight-run rule. Sophomore first baseman Leah Ford hit two home runs and drove in seven runs for Le Moyne in the second game.

Johnson Pitches Softball Past Massachusetts Lowell, 1-0
LOWELL, Mass. (April 27, 2010) Junior right-hander Kayla Johnson (Hudson, N.H.) threw a six-hit shutout and sophomore third baseman Meaghan ONeal (Littleton, Mass.) drove home the only run of the game in the sixth inning on Tuesday afternoon to lead the Franklin Pierce University softball team to a 1-0 victory over Massachusetts Lowell in Northeast-10 Conference play at River View Field. The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was postponed due to inclement weather and will be made up on Thursday, April 29 at 4 p.m.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 25, 2010) Freshman catcher Jessica Furtado (Taunton, Mass.) recorded four hits on Sunday afternoon, but the Franklin Pierce University softball team was defeated twice by Southern Connecticut State in Northeast-10 Conference play at Pelz Field. SCSU won the first game, 3-1, and took the second as well, 5-2. Junior right-hander Kayla Johnson (Hudson, N.H.) tossed a complete game without allowing an earned run for Franklin Pierce in the first game.

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (April 24, 2010) Senior right-hander Breanne Gleason threw two shutouts, including a no-hitter, on Saturday afternoon to lead No. 11 nationally ranked New Haven to a doubleheader sweep of the Franklin Pierce University softball team in Northeast-10 Conference play at UNH Softball Field. New Haven won the first game, 8-0, in six innings via the eight-run rule and took the second, 2-0.

(April 21, 2010) Freshman catcher Jessica Furtado (Taunton, Mass.) had three hits, including a solo home run on Wednesday afternoon, but the Franklin Pierce University softball team was swept by Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Franklin Pierce Softball Field. Southern New Hampshire won the first game, 9-5, and the second game, 5-1. Senior third baseman Andrea Clausi hit a home run in each game of the doubleheader for Southern New Hampshire.

Saint Rose won the first game of the day, 3-2. Junior catcher Nikki Woodard hit a home run in each game for Saint Rose.

The team's doubleheader against Le Moyne, scheduled for Sunday at noon, has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions. The doubleheader has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28.

Softball Drops Thursday Doubleheader to American International
RINDGE, N.H. (April 15, 2010) The Franklin Pierce University softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader against American International on Thursday in Rindge. The Ravens fell by scores of 8-2 in game one and 9-1 in the second game. Franklin Pierce fell to 12-17 overall and 7-9 in the Northeast-10, while AIC improved to 15-19 and 8-8 in league play.

Kayla Johnson Leads Softball to Sweep of Merrimack, 3-2 and 6-3

(April 13, 2010) Junior right-hander Kayla Johnson (Hudson, N.H.) pitched 13.1 innings and allowed just two runs on eight hits on Tuesday afternoon to pick up the win in each end of a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader against Merrimack at Franklin Pierce Softball Field. She threw a complete game as Franklin Pierce won the first game, 3-2 in eight innings, then tossed 5.1 innings of shutout relief while the Ravens rallied for a 6-3 victory in the second game.

Franklin Pierce won the days first game, 3-2, in come-from-behind fashion, and then lost the second game, 5-3.

Later in the afternoon, Saint Anselm won the second game, 6-3.

(March 13, 2010) Junior outfielder Nicole Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) recorded three hits on Saturday, but the Franklin Pierce University softball team lost its first two games of the season in neutral-site play at the National Training Center. The Ravens were defeated by Grand Valley State, 6-0, in the morning, before falling to Saint Josephs (Ind.), 3-2, in the afternoon.
