Assumption also won the first game, 2-1, as junior center fielder Meghan DiVitto (Milford, Mass./Milford) went 2-for-2 and scored twice.

Pace also won the second game, 4-3, behind a 2-for-4, two-RBI day by senior first baseman Patricia Hurley (Assonet, Mass./Apponequet). Southern New Hampshire won the first game by a score of 8-6 in eight innings. Senior designated player Elaine Matthews (Roslindale, Mass./Archbishop Williams) tallied five hits and drove in a pair of runs in the doubleheader for Franklin Pierce.

Dowling would later complete the doubleheader sweep with a 1-0 win in the second game. Senior pitcher Courtney Jacobs (Fitchburg, Mass./Fitchburg) struck out 13, one shy of her career high, in defeat for Franklin Pierce in the first game.

Gartland C.S.C. Field. Stonehill won the first game, 2-1, and the second game, 5-2. Junior catcher Kristen Tracy (Putnam Valley, N.Y./Walter Panas) had a double and drove in a pair of runs in the doubleheader for Franklin Pierce.
