SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The men’s team competed in the Collegiate 4+ Final and placed 14th out of 21 teams with a time of 3:23:56.23. The team was comprised of Zach Goodman (Andover, Mass.) at the cox, Ian Randall (Leominster, Mass.) at the stroke, Dan Forget (East Lyme, Conn.) at the 3, Bret DiCrescenzo (Haddon Township, N.J.) at the 2 and Joe LaCava (West Hartford, Conn.) at the bow. The women’s team competed in the Collegiate 4+ Final race and placed 19th out of 21 teams in a time of 3:42:38.23. The team was comprised of Julie Waxman (Manchester, Conn.) at the cox, Mairecait Binienda (Worcester, Mass.) at the stroke, Brigit Arell (Basking Ridge, N.J.) at the 3, Samantha Bizen (South Windsor, Conn.) at the 2 and Morgan Miller (Kingston, N.Y.) at the bow.

The Franklin Pierce University men’s and women’s rowing teams competed at the New Hampshire Championships this past weekend in Hooksett, N.H. The Ravens placed a team in the Women’s Open 2- race and finished first in a time of 20:06.31. The two team members were Mairecait Binienda and Brigit Arell.

(May 9, 2009) – Franklin Pierce University’s women’s varsity four saw its season come to an end in the semifinal heats of the 2009 Dad Vail National Regatta on the Schuykill River this morning. The Ravens had advanced with the ninth-fastest time, out of 34 crews, in Friday’s time trails.
