RINDGE, N.H. (October 17, 2017) -- The Franklin Pierce University cross country and track & field program led the charge in a pair of community engagement events over the weekend, lending their time and support to both a local Color Run and a Breast Cancer Walk.
Already the most-decorated athlete in the young history of the Franklin Pierce University track & field program, Minors took his talents to the international level this summer. He represented his native Bermuda in Taiwan, at the World University Games, which is the world’s largest multi-sport event outside of the Olympic Games. Minors competed in his signature event, the 800 meters.
RINDGE, N.H. (August 2, 2017) – Freshman Catherine Purves (Dalkeith, Scotland) and senior Nicole Galewski (Whitman, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team, along with senior Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) of the men’s team, have all earned All-Academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, as announced late last week by the USTFCCCA. In addition, both the men’s and women’s squads were honored as All-Academic Teams by the USTFCCCA.
RINDGE, N.H. (July 26, 2017) – Senior Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team has been selected to represent his home country of Bermuda at the 2017 World University Games in Taipei, Taiwan, later this summer. Minors will compete in the 800 meters, which are scheduled to be contested on Aug. 26-28 at the 20,000-seat Taipei Municipal Stadium.
258 Student-Athletes Earn GPAs of 3.3 or Higher During Fall Semester to be Named to Athletic Department Honor Roll
RINDGE, N.H. (January 18, 2017) – A total of 258 student-athletes in the Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics have been named to the 2017 fall semester edition of the Athletic Department Honor Roll, as announced Thursday. In addition, 20 student-athletes garnered perfect, 4.0 grade-point averages. In all, 20 of the University’s 26 varsity squads eclipsed the 3.0 mark, and the Department’s student-athletes combined to post a 3.12 cumulative GPA for the semester.
At the midpoint of her freshman campaign with the Franklin Pierce University women's ice hockey team, Haley Parker (Londonderry, N.H.) sits as the third-leading scorer and is a member of the team's top line. On Friday, she was featured in the Union Leader, as part of Alex Hall's college hockey notebook.
SWANZEY, N.H. (November 28, 2017) – Earlier this month, 30 members of the Franklin Pierce University sprint football team paid a visit to Cutler Elementary School to conduct an NFL Play 60 Event.
