Dryace Maxfield is entering his first season as an Assistant Coach with the Franklin Pierce University men's track and field team in 2012-13. He also works as an Assistant Coach with the women's track and field team, as well as the men's and women's cross country squads.
Maxfield brings over a decade of elite high school level coaching success in cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field to Franklin Pierce. In his 10 years at Bow High School (NH), coach Maxfield oversaw six state championship and four state runner-up placing teams, as well as guiding more than 50 individual state champions in nearly every event, including the New Hampshire state decathlon champion. He is Level 1 USATF, USTFCCCA and pole vault coaching certified, as well as a USATF registered coach.
Coach Maxfield graduated from Division I Idaho State University in 1996 with a degree in journalism and mass communications, where he was a standout student-athlete on the track and cross country squads. Each year he is heavily involved in the sport of track & field as a presenter at clinics throughout New England, an annual official at the prestigious Simplot Games, and as the head counselor and coach at the Dick Fosbury Track Camp. Since 2003, "Coach Max" has also been the lead organizer/coach for Bow’s wildly successful Hershey Youth track program.
