RINDGE, N.H. (November 17, 2009) – Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer standouts Frantz Francois (West Palm Beach, Fla.), Kevin Neumen (Miller Place, N.Y.) and Victor Goncalves (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) earned 2009 Daktronics, Inc. All-East Region honors on Tuesday. Francois and Neumen were named to the All-East First-Team, while Goncalves was placed on the All-East Second-Team.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (November 15, 2009) – The 25th-ranked Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team concluded its season Sunday with a tough 1-0 loss to No. 6 Le Moyne in the NCAA Division II Tournament East Region Semifinals at Niland Athletic Complex in Syracuse, N.Y. The fifth-seeded Ravens concluded their season with a 13-5-3 mark, while the top-seeded Dolphins improved to 18-2-2.

No. 25 Men's Soccer Downs Dominican; Advances to NCAA East Region Semis
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (November 13, 2009) – The 25th-ranked Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team downed Dominican, 2-1, in NCAA Division II Tournament action on Friday afternoon at Niland Athletic Complex on the campus of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. In the process, the fifth-seeded Ravens (13-4-3) advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division II Tournament East Regional, which will be held on Sunday in Syracuse. Franklin Pierce will face top-seeded and No. 6-ranked Le Moyne at 1 p.m. at Niland Complex.

Men's Soccer Drops Tough NE-10 Semis Match at Le Moyne
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (November 4, 2009) – The third-seeded Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team dropped a tough 2-1, double-overtime decision at second-seeded Le Moyne on Wednesday afternoon in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Tournament. The loss snapped Franklin Pierce’s nine-match unbeaten streak, as the Ravens dipped to 12-4-3 on the season. The 10th-ranked Dolphins improved to 16-2-2 with the win.

The Ravens record went to 13-3-2 on the year, while the Greyhounds concluded their season with a 9-7-2 mark.

Men's & Women's Soccer Teams Set to Host Northeast-10 Tournament Quarterfinals on Sunday
RINDGE, N.H. (October 29, 2009) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s and women’s soccer teams will each host their respective first-round games of the 2009 Northeast-10 Tournament this Sunday at 1 and 4 p.m. at Sodexo Field on the Rindge campus. The No. 2-seed women’s team will play host to Saint Anselm at 1 p.m., while the No. 3-seed men’s team will take on Assumption at 4 p.m. Ticket prices for the post-season tournament are $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens, children and students of the opposing schools. Franklin Pierce students can attend the games for FREE by presenting their student ID at the gate.

(October 24, 2009) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team closed out its 2009 regular season on Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 triumph over Assumption at Sodexo Field in Rindge. The Ravens concluded their regular season unbeaten in their last eight matches (7-0-1), while improving to 12-3-2 overall and 10-2-1 in the Northeast-10 Conference. The win bumped the Ravens record to 6-3-1 overall and 4-2-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference. Merrimack, which suffered its first conference loss of the season, fell to 4-3-1 and 2-1-0 in the league.

(September 1, 2009) – After opening the season by splitting two home games last weekend, the Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team remains home this weekend as it hosts the Franklin Pierce Labor Day Classic on Friday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 6 at Sodexo Field. On Friday, Bentley and Molloy play at 1 p.m., followed by Franklin Pierce against Bridgeport at 7 p.m. On Sunday, it will be Bentley and Bridgeport at 4 p.m. and Franklin Pierce vs. Molloy at 7 p.m. Friday night’s game is part of Pierce Pride Kickoff 2009 and features postgame fireworks, courtesy of Atlas Pyrotechnics.

(August 20, 2009) – The No. 16 nationally-ranked Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team has been selected second in the Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced Thursday by the conference office. The Ravens received one first-place vote and collected 174 points in the 14-team poll.
