RINDGE, N.H. (October 19, 2009) – Franklin
Pierce University men’s soccer standout Frantz
Francois (West Palm Beach, Fla.) has been named the
Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, the
league announced on Monday. It marks the first weekly conference
award for Francois this season.
The graduate midfielder earned the honor after turning in a stellar
week for the Ravens last week. He scored three goals in two games
(two of those were game-winners), helping to lead Franklin Pierce
to a 2-0-0 record.
Francois got his week started with a two-goal performance in the

63rd minute, proved to be the difference-maker as it put Franklin
Pierce on top, 3-1, at the time. The Ravens held off a furious
comeback late by Bentley to earn the win.
Francois’ heroics were on display in front of the home crowd
on Saturday night as he scored early in the second half to give the
Ravens a 1-0 lead en route to a 3-0 blanking of Stonehill.
Francois leads the team in goals (10) and points (21) this season,
and is in the midst of a three-game streak where he has scored at
least one goal.

Mass.) was named the league’s goalkeeper of the week
last Monday.
