Rick Recore enters his first season as an assistant coach in the Franklin Pierce men's basketball program in 2009-10. He comes to Rindge after spending the previous two seasons as the assistant coach at The Winchendon School in Winchendon, Mass.

While at The Winchendon School, Recore served as an assistant coach for head coach Michael Byrnes. He helped in recruiting and was in charge of the team's strength and conditioning program.

He got started in the coaching aspect of basketball in 1994 when he was elected to the position of Conway Park and Recreation Commissioner in Conway, Mass. He worked for the town as a basketball coach until 2004. He has also served as a director of the Travis Ford Basketball Camp (1998-2000), while also working as a personal trainer for many of UMass' players while Ford was the head coach of the program at Amherst (2000-03). Recore also served as a junior high and high school basketball coach for Frontier Regional School in Deerfield, Mass. from 2003-06.

Recore has been the owner of his own building and concrete company (Recore Building and Concrete) since 1992. He is involved in all aspects of the self-run company.

Recore, who graduated from Becker College in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in sports administration, resides in Conway, Mass. with his wife Naomi and their daughter Jessica (5).


Ben Rosenfeld
Assistant Coach

College: Massachusetts '06

Ben Rosenfeld enters his first season on the men's basketball coaching staff at Franklin Pierce University in 2009-10. He comes to Rindge after spending the previous three seasons on the boys basketball coaching staff at The Winchendon School in Winchendon, Mass.

Rosenfeld was an assistant coach for basketball at the preparatory school, while also serving as the head junior varsity coach for the 2006-07 season. He assisted in planning and running team practice sessions, game preparation and conditioning workouts. Other duties Rosenfeld handled at the school, included: video breakdown, communicating with college coaches, recruiting prospective student-athletes to the school, building and maintaining the Winchendonbasketball.com website. He also served as the junior varsity soccer coach and American Culture teacher at Winchendon.


A 2006 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Rosenfeld served as a student manager for the men's basketball program from 2004-06. He helped coordinate summer camps and coaches clinics, while helping to upkeep practice and game facilities.


Rosenfeld earned his bachelor of science degree in sport management from UMass. He currently resides in Winchendon, Mass.
