Men’s Basketball Earns Team Academic Excellence Award from NABC

NABC Team Academic Excellence Award recipients

RINDGE, N.H. (July 17, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s basketball team has been selected as a recipient of the Team Academic Excellence Award by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, as announced earlier this month by the NABC.

In its sixth year of existence, the Team Academic Excellence Award is presented by the NABC to all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA men’s basketball teams which earn a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher over the course of the academic year. For the Ravens, it marked the first time the team has earned the accolade.

In total, 191 institutions were recognized by the NABC for their academic prowess. The Ravens were one of four Northeast-10 Conference teams to be honored, as they were joined by Bentley, Pace and Saint Rose.
