Lance Harrington is in his second
season as Assistant Men's Ice Hockey Coach at Franklin Pierce
University in 2009-10.
Before joining the Ravens, Harrington was at Division III Norwich
University where he graduated cum laude in 2000 with a bachelor's
degree in criminal justice. Harrington helped the Cadets to a
semifinal appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships in
1997. Three years later, in 2000, he helped Norwich capture the
NCAA Division III National Championship with a 2-1 victory over
University of St. Thomas.
Prior to attending Norwich, Harrington played for St. John's High
School in Shrewsbury, Mass. He graduated from St. John's in
1995.
A native of Sterling, Mass., Harrington is the older brother of
Ravens head coach Jaymie Harrington. Lance presently resides in
Manchester, N.H. with his girlfriend Tara and their son Joseph.
Sean Kotary is in his first season as Assistant Ice Hockey Coach at Franklin Pierce University in 2009-10.
A ninth-round draft pick (266 overall) of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2000 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Kotary played three seasons of professional hockey with five different teams. Most recently, he played five games for the Oklahoma City Blazers of the CHL in 2007-08. Prior to that, he played the full 2006-07 campaign in the UHL with the Flint Generals after splitting the 2005-06 UHL season between the Port Huron Flags, Elmira Jackals and Quad City Mallards. All told, Kotary played in 152 professional hockey games and tallied four goals, 27 assists, 31 points and 204 penalty minutes.
Prior to his professional career, Kotary played his last two collegiate seasons for the State University of New York at Oswego, where he earned his bachelor's degree. Over two seasons with the Lakers, he tallied 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 points, to go with 97 penalty minutes. Before Oswego, he spent time playing junior hockey with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL, as well as an additional collegiate season with Bowling Green State.
Before college, Kotary spent a year at Northwood Prep School in Lake Placid, N.Y., where he set a school single-season scoring record with 110 points on 54 goals and 56 assists. Prior to that, he played high school hockey in New Hartford, N.Y., capturing a state championship in 1997. While in high school, Kotary set New York state records for points in a season (109), assists in a season (57), points in a single game (11) and assists in a single game (8).
