Three Ravens Earn ECAC Northeast All-Academic Honors
RINDGE, N.H. (March 31, 2006) – Senior Rob Arduini (Fulton, N.Y./G Ray Bodley), junior Mike Anderson (Keene, N.H./Laconia Leafs) and sophomore Ben Reynolds (Wallingford, Pa./Green Mountain Glades), of the Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team, were named to the 2005-06 ECAC Northeast All Academic Team. The team consists of athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 or higher while excelling both on and off the ice.

COLCHESTER, Vt. (Feb. 25, 2006) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team suffered a tough 8-5 loss to Saint Michael’s College in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament this evening at Cairns Arena. Saint Michael’s College senior Alex Watts (Cheshire, Conn./Berkshire School) led all scorers, totaling a game-high four points on four assists.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 22, 2006) – The Northeast-10 announced on Monday that fifth-seeded Franklin Pierce will face fourth-seeded Saint Michael’s College in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Quarterfinals this Saturday at Saint Michael’s College starting at 3 p.m.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (Feb. 18, 2006) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team suffered a tough 9-4 loss to Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 action this evening at the Waterville Ice Arena. Franklin Pierce junior Brian DelSavio (Orangeburg, N.Y./Pearl River) led all scorers with three points, as he notched his first career-hat trick to lead the Ravens.

(Feb. 15, 2006) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team suffered a tough 9-1 loss to Plymouth State College in ECAC-Northeast Conference this evening at the Waterville Ice Arena. Panther seniors Dennis Kane (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy) and Rory Nickerson (West Chatham, Mass./Chatham Bay State Breakers) total a game-high four points each, on a goal and three assists apiece.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (Nov. 16, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team registered a goal with 4.2 seconds remaining in the overtime period to defeat Assumption College, 5-4 in Northeast-10 Conference action tonight at the Robinson-Broadhurst Arena. This win marks the first time in program history that Franklin Pierce has defeated Assumption College. It also marks second Northeast-10 Conference victory in program history.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (Nov. 12, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team suffered a tough 5-4 overtime loss to Framingham State College this evening at Loring Arena. With 13 seconds remaining in overtime, Framingham State sophomore Jason Akstin (Bridgewater, MA/Bridgewater Jr. Bandits) scored his first goal of the season to lift the Rams to a 5-4 win.

The Ravens were led by freshman Jeff Kasper (South Boston, Mass./Catholic Memorial) who notched two points on his first two collegiate goals of his career.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (Nov. 7, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team fell 11-0 to Curry College in season opening ECAC Northeast Conference competition this evening at Robinson-Broadhurst Arena. The Colonels out shot the Ravens 30-3 and netted three goals in the first period before exploding for five in the second period and three in the final frame. Freshman Louis Hoey (Doylestown, Pa./Spring Spirit) tallied a game-high four points on a goal and three assists in his college debut, while classmate James Pentecost (Marquette, Mich./Soo) sophomore Trevor Spiridi (Cranston, R.I./Norwood Prep) and junior George Cademartori (Warrenville, IL./Springfield Jr. Blues) notched three points each.

(Nov. 12, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team suffered a tough 5-4 overtime loss to Framingham State College this evening at Loring Arena. With 13 seconds remaining in overtime, Framingham State sophomore Jason Akstin (Bridgewater, MA/Bridgewater Jr. Bandits) scored his first goal of the season to lift the Rams to a 5-4 win. November 9, 2005 Franklin Pierce and Southern New Hampshire Skate to 4-4 Tie WINCHENDON, Mass. (Nov. 9, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team skated to a 4-4 tie with Northeast-10 Conference foe Southern New Hampshire tonight at the Robinson-Broadhurst Arena. The Ravens were led by freshman Jeff Kasper (South Boston, Mass./Catholic Memorial) who notched two points on his first two collegiate goals of his career. November 7, 2005 Franklin Pierce Blanked by Curry in Opener, 11-0 WINCHENDON, Mass. (Nov. 7, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team fell 11-0 to Curry College in season opening ECAC Northeast Conference competition this evening at Robinson-Broadhurst Arena. The Colonels out shot the Ravens 30-3 and netted three goals in the first period before exploding for five in the second period and three in the final frame. Freshman Louis Hoey (Doylestown, Pa./Spring Spirit) tallied a game-high four points on a goal and three assists in his college debut, while classmate James Pentecost (Marquette, Mich./Soo) sophomore Trevor Spiridi (Cranston, R.I./Norwood Prep) and junior George Cademartori (Warrenville, IL./Springfield Jr. Blues) notched three points each.
