Three Ravens Earn ECAC Northeast All-Academic Honors
RINDGE, N.H. (March 31, 2006) Senior Rob Arduini (Fulton, N.Y./G Ray Bodley), junior Mike Anderson (Keene, N.H./Laconia Leafs) and sophomore Ben Reynolds (Wallingford, Pa./Green Mountain Glades), of the Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team, were named to the 2005-06 ECAC Northeast All Academic Team. The team consists of athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 or higher while excelling both on and off the ice.

Franklin Pierce junior Brian DelSavio (Orangeburg, N.Y./Pearl River) led all scorers with three points, as he notched his first career-hat trick to lead the Ravens.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (Nov. 16, 2005) The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team registered a goal with 4.2 seconds remaining in the overtime period to defeat Assumption College, 5-4 in Northeast-10 Conference action tonight at the Robinson-Broadhurst Arena. This win marks the first time in program history that Franklin Pierce has defeated Assumption College. It also marks second Northeast-10 Conference victory in program history.

With 13 seconds remaining in overtime, Framingham State sophomore Jason Akstin (Bridgewater, MA/Bridgewater Jr. Bandits) scored his first goal of the season to lift the Rams to a 5-4 win.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (Nov. 7, 2005) The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team fell 11-0 to Curry College in season opening ECAC Northeast Conference competition this evening at Robinson-Broadhurst Arena. The Colonels out shot the Ravens 30-3 and netted three goals in the first period before exploding for five in the second period and three in the final frame. Freshman Louis Hoey (Doylestown, Pa./Spring Spirit) tallied a game-high four points on a goal and three assists in his college debut, while classmate James Pentecost (Marquette, Mich./Soo) sophomore Trevor Spiridi (Cranston, R.I./Norwood Prep) and junior George Cademartori (Warrenville, IL./Springfield Jr. Blues) notched three points each.
