Golf Finishes Sixth at SNHU Penmen Invitational

Landry earns top-10 finish

LITCHFIELD, N.H. (October 12, 2009) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team finished sixth with a two-round total of 638 (+70) at the 2009 SNHU Penmen Invitational. The event was held at Passaconaway Country Club in Litchfield, N.H.

Ian Landry earned a top-10 finish with a tie for ninth at +13, 155. Peter Panopoulos and Brian Fleckles were the other Franklin Pierce golfers to finish in the top 20 of the individual standings. Panopoulos placed 15th with a two-round score of 159 (+17), while Fleckles tied for 20th at 22-over (164).

Justin Haapala tied for 24th with a 24-over, 166, and William Powers finished 27th after totaling a two-round score of 170 (+28).

Host-school Southern New Hampshire won the tournament by recording a two-round total of 610 (+42).
