Franklin Pierce Earns NCAA Division II National Academic Honors
RINDGE, N.H. (February 21, 2007) The Franklin Pierce field hockey team received academic recognition on Tuesday afternoon as seven players were named to the 2006 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Academic Squad. This marks the fourth time in the past five years the program has received academic honors.

Franklin Pierce Places Two On Northeast-10 All-Academic First Team
RINDGE, N.H. (October 31, 2006) Senior captain Angela Barone (Norwood, Pa./Interboro) and junior captain Elizabeth Ellis (Turner, Maine/Leavitt) of the Franklin Pierce field hockey team were named to the 2006 Northeast-10 All Academic First Team as selected by the Conferences Sports Information Directors. The announcement was made by the NE-10 office this afternoon.

(October 28, 2006) The Franklin Pierce field hockey team suffered a tough 1-0 setback to Southern Connecticut State University in Northeast-10 Conference action this afternoon at Jess Dowd Field. Junior Angela Cafarelli (Enfield, Conn./Enfield) registered the game-winning goal with just 5:47 remaining in regulation to give the Owls their fifth victory of the season.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 26, 2006) The Franklin Pierce field hockey team posted a 2-1 victory over Bryant University in Northeast-10 Conference action this evening at Sodexho Field. Sophomore Kayleigh Jaksina (Townsend, Mass./North Middlesex) registered the game-winning goal with just 4:03 remaining in regulation to secure the Ravens sixth victory of the season.

(October 23, 2006) The Franklin Pierce field hockey team earned a 3-2 overtime victory over American International College in Northeast-10 Conference action this evening at Sodexho Field. Sophomore Jenee Clifford (Sandown, N.H./Timberlane) netted the game-winning goal with just 1:41 remaining in overtime to clinch the Ravens fifth victory of the season.

WORCESTER, Mass. (October 18, 2006) The Franklin Pierce field hockey team completed the season-series sweep over Assumption College, defeating the Greyhounds, 1-0 (OT) in Northeast-10 Conference action at Multi-Sports Stadium this evening. Franklin Pierce limited Assumption to just seven shots throughout the match to earn its fourth victory of the season.

Franklin Pierce Names Meghan Guiney Head Field Hockey And Women's Lacrosse Coach
RINDGE, N.H. (June 22, 2006) Franklin Pierce has named Meighan Guiney as head coach of both the field hockey and womens lacrosse programs at the College. The announcement was made today by Bruce Kirsh, Vice President and Director of Athletics at the College, and confirmed by President Dr. George J. Hagerty.
