Junior left-hander Vladimir Camacho (Jamaica Plain, N.Y.) and sophomore right-hander Ryan Thompson (Calgary, Alberta) could be selected as high as the top half of the 40-round draft, while graduate student center fielder James Roche (Arlington, Mass.), junior shortstop Dan Kemp (Sturbridge, Mass.) and others are all potential late-round selections.

(May 5, 2012) – Junior shortstop Dan Kemp (Sturbridge, Mass.) went 3-for-5, scored three times, drove in a run and threw out the tying run at the plate in the ninth inning in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon as the No. 15/18 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University baseball team squeaked out a 9-8 win over Saint Michael’s in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division play at Doc Jacobs Field. The win was the 500th career victory for Franklin Pierce Head Coach Jayson King.

(April 24, 2012) – Sophomore first baseman Zach Mathieu (Derry, N.H.) dumped an RBI single into right-center field to drive home senior second baseman Dan Hennigan (Downingtown, Pa.) with what would prove to be the game-winning run on Tuesday afternoon, as the No. 21/27 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University baseball team posted a 7-5, 11-inning win over Assumption in Northeast-10 Conference play at Lou Gorman Field. Junior first baseman Joe Lopes went 3-for-6 with a solo home run in the loss for Assumption.

In the second game, sophomore first baseman Zach Mathieu (Derry, N.H.), freshman catcher Matt Walsh (Plymouth, Mass.) and senior designated hitter Isaac Wenrich (Westlawn, Pa.) all hit solo home runs to lead Franklin Pierce to a 7-3 victory.

(April 20, 2012) – Sophomore first baseman Zach Mathieu (Derry, N.H.) went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and two walks, scored four runs and drove in five on Friday afternoon to lead the Franklin Pierce University baseball team to a 27-11 victory over Stonehill in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division play at Lou Gorman Field. Junior third baseman Anthony Peguero (Hyde Park, Mass.) went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and wound up driving in seven runs in the win for Franklin Pierce.

Baseball Announces Changes to Saint Michael’s Series

(April 1, 2012) – Junior right fielder Nick LaCroix (Grafton, Mass.) went 3-for-4, scored twice and drove in a run in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon as the Franklin Pierce University baseball team posted a 9-3 victory over Massachusetts Lowell in Northeast-10 Conference play at LeLacheur Park. Lowell won a barnburner in the second game, 13-11, behind a 5-for-6 performance by senior third baseman Cam Kneeland, who drove in four runs and scored twice.

Junior shortstop Dan Kemp (Sturbridge, Mass.) hit a two-run home run in the loss for the Ravens.

(March 18, 2012) – Sophomore first baseman Zach Mathieu (Derry, N.H.) collected seven hits over two games on Sunday afternoon, but the No. 20/22 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University baseball team was swept by Mercy in a non-conference, neutral-site doubleheader at Longwood Athletic Complex. The Ravens dropped the first game, 5-3, and suffered a 9-4 setback in the second game.

(March 17, 2012) – Sophomore first baseman Zach Mathieu (Derry, N.H.) hit 2-for-3 with two home runs and drove in three runs on Saturday afternoon, as the No. 20/22 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University baseball team posted a 9-1 victory over Saint Michael’s in non-conference, neutral-site play at NSU Baseball Complex, on the campus of Nova Southeastern University. Later in the day, Franklin Pierce suffered a 12-1 defeat at the hands of No. 24 NSU, as sophomore second baseman Carlos Asuaje went 4-for-5, scored two runs and drove in three to lead the attack.
