Franklin Pierce to Re-open Friday, Schedule Announcements

RINDGE, N.H. (December 18, 2008) - Franklin Pierce University is pleased to announce that power was restored to the Rindge campus this evening. The University will make a thorough check of the buildings and facilities over the next 24-hours and will re-open on Friday, weather permitting.

Monday's Northeast-10 Conference basketball doubleheader against Merrimack College at the Fieldhouse will go on as scheduled. Tip off for the women is 1 p.m., with the men to follow at 3 p.m.

Students/children under 17 years of age will be admitted free of charge to the December 22 matinee. Adult tickets will be $6.00 and senior citizens, $4.00. FPU students, faculty and staff w/ID's will also be admitted free of charge.

As previously announced:

Men's Basketball at Stonehill scheduled for Friday, December 19, in Easton, Mass., (6 p.m.) has been postponed. No makeup date confirmed.

Women's Basketball vs. Molloy scheduled for Saturday, December 20, at the Fieldhouse at 1 p.m., has also been postponed. No make up date announced.

Additional announcements will be made as warranted.
